At Montalvo, we will partner with Edexcel
Montalvo International School sets out to be a center of excellence for Secondary education in the Algarve. Staffed with the Edexcel curriculum and qualified teachers, we aim to provide iGCSE and A Level students with the necessary support and resources to achieve their goals, academic or vocational, in this highly competitive world.
We'll support you with your chosen qualifications.
- Students can expect to find dedicated areas for self study and their own work, during periods of non contact time.
- A small library with official revision guides for each subject, endorsed by Edexcel, can be found and utilized by Montalvo students. Although book lending is optional, we encourage students to utilize these books in school during their study periods and, when required, to photocopy the desired pages using our printer.
- Depending on subject choice, students will be provided specialised revision guides made at Montalvo designed to facilitate material assimilation during the year. The guides will be comprised of all relevant chapters and material necessary to understand the foundation of each subject where each unit or chapter will be available as individual sheets.

iGCSE
Grade 10-11, Ages 14-15
iGCSE options and the full curriculum begins in Year 10 with all exams to be taken by the end of Year 11.
AS/A Levels
Grades 12-13, Ages 16-17
A Levels are the culmination of British International Education. They're taken over a span of 2 years and prepare students for their post school life.
